Sitting at my kitchen table
With coffee and a garlic bagel
Waiting on the task force morning briefing to begin
The voice of god says two-minute warning
I hope they talk about the TP hoarding
And let me know when I can go outside again
Football players are still being signed
By rich white men in thick red ties
Not dying for a chance to help you out
Oh, mirror, mirror, on the wall
Tell me how many sick must fall
Before we get our hearts and heads out of the clouds
I’m not patient, but I can wait
To see my friends and family again
Standing at my bedroom window
Switched from coffee to a glass of vino
Listening to the man in charge say everything is fine
Shut up, punk, you’re just making it worse
I love everybody so much it hurts
To stock up shop, go home, and wonder why
The working class, we still gotta eat
Does the Wall matter more than the Main Street
When will we bail out common folks who need it so bad
Oh say can you see how greedy you’ve grown
Our ignorance built disease a home
Here we sit, I feel like I been had
I’m not patient, but I can wait
To see my friends and family again
But not complacent, I won’t wait
To take my share of what I make
