He put a little bit of cocaine in his coffee
And called it vitamin C
He cut the body panels off of his Alfa Romeo
And reached historically impressive speeds
He’s not a felon, just a fun loving man

The driving force was loud of course intelligent without remorse
Special collector kind
He sang a Psycho Killer better than a Talking Head
And wrote a song about perspective from a skeptical mind
Kept me going when the going got rough
I don’t tell him that enough

I think we finally found the secret to short-term success
Keep expectations low
We played a basement on a Saturday and moved some feet
Got all dressed up and everybody came to the show
We played some brand new songs
And everyone there was singing along
